2011 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 1,700 times in 2011. If it were a cable car, it would take about 28 trips to carry that many people.

Typhoon hits Japan…

Holla amigos! Just had maggi tomyum and a classic ginger tea BURPP! Yumm yumm..what the hell am i doing eating at 4am Japan time? Urm..blame it on the typhoon!!!!!! Why u say? It totally ruined my lifestyle…i was having my dinner just now …huh! Take that! Ok so what`s the deal with this typhoon…owh nothing, besides things banging on my window…the noisy sound of the wind and the fact that I`ve been confined to my room unable to go out! Hmm well, whatdya think? Honestly I was fine with the sound of the wind, but the window banging freaked me out a bit i gotta say… I mean, I don`t wanna end up with a broken window with rain water splashing into my 1 room apartment..no thanks nuh uh! SO! I`ve been urm resting my eyes the whole day huhu…Fine, I was Sleepin`!  Well , what can I do…couldn`t go out in that rain(wouldn`t want to)..So yea when I woke up it was already 11pm at night..but I wasn`t hungry then so I thought of skipping dinner(can diet too..well that`s what I thought until a while ago)!

So here I am still couldn`t close my eyes…just browsing through things…Thanks to the typhoon I got another holiday from school tomorrow! Yippee!! Haish…what to do now..wanna play DDR but I`ll end up waking up the neighbors ! I mean Me jumping on the DDR mat and ppl run out of their apartments thinking there was an earthquake wasn`t something I had in mind…Ok movie time! Right!!

Before I ciao…let me show u my recently fav place…Tada!!

I call this Malaysia`s Taj Mahal!! Ooh la la…a mosque in Putrajaya. Beautiful huh?

FARAH OUT!

QUESTION!! My Future? ANSWER? Read on…

Holla holla holla! Been awhile etc etc blablabla…Selamat Hari Raya! lots have happened since i`m back from japan..owh yeah I AM BACK babeh! HAH! ok BAH~~~its already been a month and a week since I got back so, BAH! So what have I been doing since i got back..hmm lets see, FASTED, hmmm ATE a whole lot of FATS and got FAT of course, had friends staying over during the first week of Raya, ANYEONG HASEYO, yup koreans. owh owh owh not to forget ME OPEN HOUSE, yeah food again, i know (-_-; ) but this time, with friends…well, should say my last open house most probably.

So, since I got back, these are the questions that have been bombarded to me —-> `Have you thought of your plans for the future? Are you gonna work in Japan? How long more do you have til you graduate?’. I was kinda taken aback at first but not because I don`t like them butting into my business (ok I don`t really like it) but because I don`t really know the answers to it myself. Even in Japan many have asked me those same questions. My colleagues especially. This is probably due to the fact that in Japan, everything has to be decided early. Undergrad students in Japan start job hunting during the second semester of their 3rd year of university. So yeah, I guess its about time that people ask me about this. SO!!! Jeng jen jeng! I`ve finally found my answer to this question that i`ve never actually think thoroughly about. So, here`s the plan. (For now, until i change my mind)

After thinking thoroughly, I’ve decided to work in Japan if I get the chance. Its not easy to get hired once u are out of Japan, visa applications all over again, blablabla yadayadayada…but if I apply now, I might only need to change visa status and extend duration. Besides, they prefer fresh graduates! But whatever it is, my aim now is to get loan for the remaining years of my studies while finding a part time job to support my cost of living in Japan. Fuh…part-time job hunting スタート!!So, that`s my plan and I plan to make it work (Have to make it work)! Coz it seems that my sis is holding back from furthering her studies coz she said it`ll be costly for my mom to support both of us at the same time. So this solves her problem, so she can`t use me as an excuse anymore!! I hate it when she uses the `its too expensive for mom to support both of us’ excuse when being asked about her next step in furthering her education. Some people said some things that really pisses me off. Things like, ‘why can’t you just continue your studies here, Farah? Japan is too expensive isn`t it?’. Its like they`re blaming me for studying in EXPENSIVE Japan knowing that since my dad passed away, my family`s financial situation is not as stable as it was last time. Making me look like some selfish bitch, thinking only of myself, enjoying myself in japan, while my family suffers in Malaysia.

Ok, IN MY DEFENSE! When I first went to Japan to study, my dad was STILL around. He passed away, 2 years after I was ALREADY in Japan and I was already admitted into a university in Japan (was in my second semester of first year). Plus, people have no idea on how I live my life in Japan. But they jump to conclusions such as I`m not studying but I only went there to enjoy and spend my parents money. Yo! Things are fcuking expensive over there and my mom supplied me with just enough every month and I DO work part time to gain extra money for my own pocket money. So those things you saw on my facebook…pictures of me eating out or hanging out with friends enjoying myself, all of that were, mind you, out of my own expenses!!!

So, don`t just say things you don`t know! My life is actually pretty routined over there…its pretty much university—->home or home—->university kinda life! Compared to my life when my dad was still around, I was more spoiled so I’ve already enjoyed my life in Japan then.

Whatever it is, you have no right to judge me when you`re not even there living with me. Anyway, this is just what I have in mind now…I still have lots to consider before really settling to a decision.

Owh! how can i forgot THAT question!?!! The answer is—–>>>No, not getting married anytime soon…as the matter of fact, I don`t think I want to get married at all…marriage needs commitment and dedication, I don`t think I`m unselfish enough for that! So yup, no marriage in the dictionary of my life, thank you…kah kah kah! My mom`s gonna kill me if she heard abt this! Ughh!

Better run! Ciao!

FARAH OUT!!

I am hyper! Its as if I was the one who got married!!!$#%’&

I am happy! Why? Coz I just went to my high school`s best friend`s wedding, Farah Inani! I am hella tired but for some reason I`m also hyper that I can`t sleep…Boy, this sux…but it`s ok coz I can finalize my packing for tonight. Yes, yes I`m flying back to Japan (unwillingly mind ya)…but anyways, Congratulations to Farah Inani and hubby, Farid Nazmi. Have a good married life and lots of babies! Lots and lots of babies, ok>!? Hihi(^-^ )

HIGHLIGHTS! : The freakin’ TSUNAMI + EARTHQUAKE hitting Japan few days back!

So let`s get on to it! Hottest news at the mo…you all heard about the terrible catastrophe that hit Japan a few days ago. Yup we`re talking Tsunami and Earthquake all at the same time…Like one of those is not bad enough, they BOTH just gotta happen at the same time..owh boy, what a bummer! So yeah, when I first heard about it, the first thing that came to mind was, HOW`S EVERYBODY? Then when I heard from everyone and they said they were fine etc etc, the second thing that came to mind was, I`m SOOO FReakiNg Glad I`m not In Japan! I know..I know…haha in the end I still feel glad that I`m not there to experience it…but more than anything, I`m glad I don`t have to make my mom worry. If I were there when it happens, my mom will be worried sick not knowing if I`m basically still alive or ya know, dead (ugh). So yeah, the tsunami hits the North part of Japan…so those parts are the worst! Tokyo people, were affected a lil by the 8.9 magnitude earthquake but nothing that bad so far…it really is not in my place to say these things, ya know, having not yet experienced it myself… but these are what I get from asking others who are currently there in Tokyo. They`re all fine, nobody died so it`s all COOL! If you wanna know more, go and check out those videos on youtube. Pretty freaky really, makes me feel even more reluctant about going back there…Yikes! But whatever it is, I pray for everyone`s safety over there…and to all of u out there…HELP SAVE JAPAN!!

PARKOUR ROX!!!

What is Parkour?

Parkour or also known as PK, is a utilitarian discipline based upon the successful, swift and energy-efficient traversing of one’s surrounding environment via the practical application of techniques, based around the concept of self-preservation and the ability to help others.

Yeah yeah enough with the Theory..watch this!

Damn COOL eh? Yeah its also DAMN painful! I`ve never tried it but from the looks of it…you can just tell eh…

Moving along we have some of MY RECENT FAVS

I`m currently into Watermelon scented bath and body products!

Entered The Body Shop a few days ago and fell in love with this…

The Body Shop Earth Lover Shower Gels in Watermelon and Eucalyptus. Rm29.90

Just took a sniff of it…OK, A FEW sniffs…but didn`t buy it… Instead, ended up buying this…

The Body Shop Born Lippy Watermelon Lip Balm RM18

Why lip balm instead of shower gelUrm well, think about it…for one thing its cheaper…and lip balm lasts longer for me..that`s all to it really….Its funny that the lip balm was out ages ago compared to the shower gel but it caught my attention only now. Well, whatever…

Waiting for the end is my SONG OF THE WEEK…Just somehow stuck to it! Ok, EVERYONE knows that I`m a HARDCORE Linkin Park fan! This song reminds me of my dad…somehow, probably the lyrics, I don`t know really…but all I know is that I can`t get it out of my head nor my playlist! Love the MV too!

I just love Mike and Chester! KIss me kiss Me!!

Owh! Here is another one of my current favourite MV! Just love Katy Perry`s hair in here…Lovely streaks of purple! She nailed it!

Next in line is Updates (2010-2011) part 2, but I`m really not in the mood. Plus, I`m only publishing it for myself really…to remind me of what has been happening in my life in the past…sides nobody actually bothers to know about my life…but writing as if I`m telling my story to someone is just my writing style (just somehow more fun that way huhu)…So, there you have it…not blabbing on that on this post

(wait for the next (^-^メ)post)

And last but not least….TADA!!!

FROM AKIHABARA

I know right? I already have one touch screen gadget, my iPhone, ehem ehem mind you, no bragging intended, but a touch screen vending machine…speaks COOLNESS! I really NEED to go to Akihabara now…I gotta see this baby maself! Ouwh!! Actually, I`m a sucker for Touch Screen gadgets! Ipads, Samsung`s Galaxy Tab, BlackBerry Torch touch screen phone…just to name a few. So yeah…really anticipating this vending machine!

I`m a bit shaken by the news about the earthquake and all so, I`m feeling really reluctant about returning back to Japan but if I need a reason to convince myself to return, then it`ll be this can`t-wait-to-see Vending Machine. Owh and my super fast Portable Wi-Fi internet too! Really miss that you have no idea..

Post Title : God, it’s been so long, where do i start?!

HEy guyS! I’m back! First and foremost, to my grandmother who had just returned to God’s side, rest in peace and may Allah bless your soul. Yea, she passed away last friday night (19/12/2008). I miss you and I will never forget you.

Next news is MY SISTER’S HERE!! TADAAA!! Hehe ok ok obviously i’m happy…but too bad she’s coming down with a cold..i guess she’s still not used to the sudden weather change. U noe Indonesia, Hot..Japan, Cold (its winter so..). Anyways, she’ll get used to it soon enough..well, she gotta..we both can’t miss Disneyland and Disneysea for the world ait? Hohoho :p Ok Tis is not my first time to Disneyland, mind you…it will be my third time if i go again. But it never gets old..I love myself when i’m in Disneyland..its the only place where us adults turned back time to how they used to be during their childhood, forget our probs and worries in the real world and just have fun!! I love it!! Owh but then again, Disneysea will be my first..i’ve never really got the chance to go before..but this time i’ll make sure i get to step my foot in it!! YAY :p I’ve scheduled it to this wesnesday and thursday..hopefully its a bright day…its getting really cold…and the wind..God miserable!!

Ahah! What you might notice here is my way of writing gradually changes as the time passed. Well, I probably just got lazy i mean that small-letter-capital-letter thing took a lot of time..but i was new at blogging, still excited (yeah yeah just like how I was excited to go to Japan). Well, no, not really….its just I dunno…I just feel like typing properly somehow…but i might change my mind again tomorrow…I`m random, remember? So don`t expect too much…Lol!

But anyway, these really bring memories….when I read these posts just now…I was overwhelmed by the things I myself felt at that particular time…before going to Japan, when I just got there for a few days and saying Goodbye to my Grandmama…all these feelings that I thought I`d forgotten.

Now, doing things halfway is not all that bad eh? My mom always told me `You never finish what you start. Always doing things halfway.’ I hated it and it used to make me feel useless for not being able to complete something. But it kinda hit me a few days ago. …

IT DOESN`T MATTER! Hell yeah…it doesn`t matter if you do things halfway…atleast you try right…the feeling of wanting to try is better than never trying at all right…Plus, our lives are all about curiosity and experimenting things, don`t ya think?! So what if you play guitar for 2 months and switched to Drums after….its all about figuring out yourself…its a knowing yourself process….if you don`T try, you wont know if you actually like that thing or not….plus, from the moment u start doing something until the moment you stop doing it no matter if the time u took to do it were merely a few days or a few hours even…it doesn`t change the fact that you`ve tried and you gained at least a lil knowledge from it.

In my case…I played the piano for awhile when I was 9…I quit after awhile coz I found a new interest in drums (Which I still continue playing, I haven`t quit and I wont! Huh! Take that!), even though I don`t remember most of the lessons, but I do remember how to play the “Happy Birthday” song on the piano. Whatever you do is an experience! So live it! Now, I never regretted whatever half-way things I did last time. Atleast now, I can proudly say, I did try it but it just wasn`t meh! (^-^)

And thanks to my doing-things-halfway-n-procrastinating attitude, I got to see these drafts from the youngER me..hehe :p

Ok mom called…gotta start getting bee-zehh! Later!

Owh look out for my Updates from early 2010 to early 2011 updates PART 2 post, coming soon!

Aww...my late dad`s handsome eh? Miss ya pa! (^-^)

Updates from early 2010 to early 2011! Brace yourselves!

Hello people…Irrasshai irrasshai! Welcome to my first post this year, 2011! Yes, yes I know I haven`t been posting at all since the last 2000 years…but then again, who reads my blog besides me anyway? Plus, since i`m always Random (or Lazy if you check my dictionary) in the sense that I do things according to my mood or what I feel like at the time, I`ve been putting myself to ‘Hibernate’,'Idle’ or ‘Away-from-desk’ mode. Take your pick! This blog is so outdated that even valentine`s over, its already spring break and not to mention, one of my friends got married 2 weeks ago and yet this blog`s first post is only dated today…you poor poor blog…but accept it..its your destiny to have me as the blogger (^_-)

So, do i have any updates from the day I last posted which is, urm, let me see, a year ago…Wow! Awesome eh? Haha…WELL, Lots have happened duh! Let me update you on what I can remember…Ok lets recap from what happened recently to what happened ages ago…So, for one thing i`m back in Malaysia now..Spring break…so lately besides keeping myself occupied with handling family matters, I finally got to meet my friends (high-school mates) that I normally call right after I get back home (every time)…However, this time I kinda postponed it to a-few-weeks-after-I-got-back coz I was busy but we finally got together last sunday, 27th and it was sooo good meeting y’all (Yes its u guys! Abdul, Amir, May Yeng, Gabe). I actually missed u guys more than I thought! It was a good gathering all together, all five of us, nice number of people, good combo too. Not too many people, just nice to catch up and keep up with everybody`s latest updates! Wish the rest were there too though (Hizami, Wang Ying, Joo Ann) then baru cukup forum kan? Hihi :p

Hmm what else? Owh yeah one of my good friends, Wan Nurul Iman got married! So happy for her! Wishing her all the best! This year`s THE YEAR for her i suppose. Getting married and InsyaAllah graduating college and entering the working world all around this time is pretty awesome!

12th of February 2011

Wan Nurul Iman in her Wedding dress!

She looks Stunning, doesn`t she?

Iman and I! Love this pic!

She lost so much weight...I`m glad it worked out for her! Way to go gal!

Me and the Gals! The beautiful Miss Miyuki Muto in Blue and Cute Miss Shizuru Nakamura in the middle!

Miss Miyuki and her big round eyes...Shizuru and her perkiness! Had a great time with both of them!

It was a Great Fun Wedding! With a crazy number of people attending and beautiful settings! Barakallahu lakuma wa baraka a’laykuma wa jamaah baina kuma fee khayr.

So I arrived at LCCT Airport on Thursday morning, 9th of February 2011! Yeehaa here I come!! Sat beside Akane Kono on the plane and to my surprise saw another colleague of mine, Quddus (small world). Its surprising coz for us, Akane and I, we`ve been planning on getting on the same flight and sitting next to each other even way before that. But meeting Quddus was a different story all together, we definitely didn`t plan it but yeah we saw each other, went through with the 6-hour flight, got off the plane and got stuck hanging around each other from then on. All three of us went to Mcdonalds and that`s where I had my breakfast. What, why not?? Akane was waiting for someone to pick her up there and Quddus was waiting for someone to pick up something from him there. I had nothing to do, so I..had..breakfast(^-^)Besides, like I could resist it…Couldn`t even touch a burger in Japan! But I was being naughty and sly! Akane left with her friend while Quddus and I separated ways at the bus stand heading to KL sentral and after a tiring journey I was at Wangsa Maju Station waiting for my mom to come and pick me up! So I jumped in the car and said `So what`s for lunch?’. She said ‘McD’ and I said “OMG! I miss McD so much! Haven`t had McD for months (hihihi)”. I know I know I`m sly hihi but hey…I really wanted to eat this….

It tasted heavenly! A lil white lie takes u a longgg wayy! (Ok kids, don`t do this ok?!)  So yeah, these are pretty much the things that happened while I`m in Malaysia…Let`s go back to before I got onto that plane home….

So I was still in Japan. Let`s start with….

25th January 2011 . I moved! From Fuchu to Seiseki-sakuragaoka (just a few stations away but closer to school) with the help of some wonderful people. Yerp, that`s you! (Naza, Che’ Tom and Aqila) Thanks a bunch! I really appreciate it!! So let`s get to it : Why I love my New house more than my former house!?

1. CHEAPER! The main reason. A bit farther from the Train Station (15 minutes walk) but I pay 15,000yen less! Ofcourse I`d take it! Plus, there`s a bus station right in front of my house incase I`m too tired to walk home…which I`ll make sure wont happen, EVER! Money saving is my main goal from now on!

2. It looks more spacious than my previous house. The way I organised and designed my furnitures might have something to do with it. I do miss my loft though hmmm (-_-)

3. Quiet housing area full with families and Kids running around. I just love this kind of atmosphere where you have families living nearby. Gives you a warm feeling all over and I just love seeing the kids play and hearing their voices. Kinda gives me the staying-in-a-kampung feeling. Gotta love that.

4. There are swings at a mini park behind my house. Ok I`m a sucker for Swings! Just love them! My old house and swings? Don`t even have a small space to park bicycles.

5. A proper bicycle-parking-space! yay! Hooray!!

6. Direct sunlight shining brightly at my window every morning! Muah!! If I hang clothes in the morning, it`ll dry up by noon. While my old house was located against where the sun shines so yeah, clothes took an awful long time to dry. Imagine winter…ugh!

7. Car park. Which I don`t need…at the moment.

8. The view from my window! My mom would love the view from my window I suppose. Plants! Big Bonzai plants from my window makes it look like I have a mini garden outside…pretty sleek eh? Hihi.

9. As I mentioned above. The bus station located right infront of my house. My mom has weak legs. She can`t walk continuously for a long time so I thought since I live far..having buses that go direct to the train station is gonna be really helpful for her.

Those are the only things I can remember but All-in-All I`m satisfied with my choice! I don`t care what others think…I`m the one who`s gonna live there so only my opinion matters! Hmmm! Hehe..Moving on we have exams!!!!

O.w.h N.o! My results are coming out next week and I`m shit nervous! My exams ended on the 24th of January…I know I`m crazy, moving to a new place right after my last paper with all the furnitures I owned…Yes I own a whole lot of C.r.a.P! But I just have this can`t-throw-stuff-away attitude in me! A potential hoarder I would say! Early stage. So, the exam…started on the 7th of January…Hella Early! I`d say I`m nervous but for the first time during my time in college that I`m anticipating my results. Hopefully my results turn out ok… My bills rise up a notch that exam month…I mean doubled up…Probably coz its winter and I had the heater on 24/7…But I don`t wanna suffer during my exams… or at least I don`t want it to be my excuse for not studying so I decided to forget about the amount for awhile and just concentrate on my exams…the time when all distraction comes in really! can you imagine me feeling like taking sometime out jogging in the middle of the cold during exam week…but I managed to do my best for every paper. I ate a lot too….. there are ways to kill stress and mine is EATING! Gained a few pounds during those days…but not regretting any of it! Those potato chips helped keep my eyes open (Of course I had to stay awake to munch right?! :p) and that delicious Van Houten Chocolate Drink….just can`t get enough of it! And SUSHI! OMG! STOP!! STOP!!

Fuh…..”$#%&’(()=)’#& non-stop babbling alert! Uh I guess I`ll stop here for now…Part two will be up soon!

Later peeps!

ExamS! FOOD! Inception!! GRRR…

Just finished my International Econs paper…2 papers left til I`m free from this misery. I`m broke and yet I`m hungry all the time….stress? Think so…my period even came earlier than expected…but i honestly DON`T feel stress at all…i`m weird and random…suddenly feels like eating crepe…owh crap…crepe , crap…sounds alike…HUNGRY!

Inception…according to my sister was MIND BLOWING! When i asked her on MSN `u already watched Inception?` she went like `IT WAS MIND BLOWING` spelled with full capital letters…Hmm come on u online movie uploaders!! What the hell are u doing!!! I`ll take this as one of God`s method to make me study rather than just sit in front of my lappie watching dramas n stuff…He took my internet away and left me to die alone in that Mini apartment…(yea my super mini crib is actually an apartment to the japanese)

God when is this guy gonna come…Waiting for a friend..passing him some notes…I WANNA GO HOME N SLEEP…I didn’t sleep much last night and now I`m feeling cranky!! Ugh feel like banging my head on a wall!! BANG BANG BANG! Due to the lack of sleep n stress over today`s paper…I got migraine! SO! I really had no idea about what i was crapping in the answer sheet…Wait..did i even write something? Owh yea..I wrote my name..hmm…hmm..OWH WELL Things will work themselves out, right????

In the school`s Work Station now..Ceh wah…why can`T they just call it the PC Room? Coz it has to at least sound a lil sophisticated I guess….Plus it does actually make u wanna say it a lot of times…`Ya know..my school`s work station…Owh you dunno what a work station is huh…Its actually our school`s pc room…yea so ya know, my school`s Work Station right….’ Something like that! What I dun get is the Japanese can`t even pronounce it properly…they pronounce it as Waaku Suteyshon…an English word that no American can understand LOL

3.05pm

Back home…Had Udon for lunch…God I`m still hungry…but no money…MAGGI!!!!! God I`m sleepy..gonna sleep!!

Farah OUT!!

New Year, New Journey, Have a Blast! (^o^)

It`s 2010how time fliesWishing everyone the best this year!

Did some house cleaningok not some..I tidied up the whole house really..tiring but worth it. Had some leftover curry and Cheese Nan which I didn`t even reheat, too hungry so I just went for it LOL

New Year`s Resolution? Not the kind who actually care about this, But if I think about it, Fuh, too many to list..so I decided to forget about it.

Enough about me, let`s see how the Japanese celebrate New Year

In the morning, they will go and pray at the shrine. Looks like something like this

Then they`ll go back home to their families, and have the New Year`s meal called Osechi. There are a lot of types of Osechi. It is claim to be something luxurious and lavish. This Osechi match with Japanese Green Tea, and noisy families is basically how the Japanese celebrate the New Years.

After that, the adults will give the kids something called Otoshidama which means New Year`s gift, normally money in cute small envelopes..

The New Year`s is the time when Japanese get together with their families. Most Japanese don`t see their families the whole year after that. So , the New Year`s a special event for them.

As for me. .. I just don`t care that much LOL

Again, this year I spent the New Years at homefeels a bit lonely but my friend`s coming over tomorrow so it`s all good!! Yay!!

Whatever it is, HAVE A BLAST!!!!!

What the hell is Golf Simulation?

A few days back my friend was telling me a story…”Once a pond a time I went to a Golf Simulation Dining Bar.It was awesome”. Having heard that I said “WOW!”…but actually at that very moment I was still trying to retrieve the meaning of Golf-Simulation-Dining-Bar. Ok let’s process this..Golf (well, its a sport right) BINGO..Simulation (Something to do with imitations or something fake if i’m correct)…Dining (Urm a noun that comes from the root word “Dine”) and Bar (Never been to a bar really..all I know is that they have urm, alcohols there).  So all these words put togethere You’ll get urm Fake-Sport-place to eat-alcohols..hmm…While i was thinking my friend was babbling about all the things that only he knows…hahaha. After a while he noticed…noticed that i had no idea of what he was talking about…well, a bit slow at noticing there..Anyways, after babbling for almost 15 mins he Finally asked me “You do know about what i’m talking about right now, right?…I said “I lost u at the Golf-Simulation part actually hihi”…”You made me crap for about 15 mins for nothing..Dude, u really gotta buy me a drink”…so that’s  much how i came to know about Golf Simulation.

To put it simply…

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, I PRESENT TO YOU THE GOLF SIMULATION DINING BAR!!

TADA!!

That’s me there! Yoohoo! Trying to pose as a pro-Golfer..

Allow me to describe it the best way I can :~

So basically we have the Big Wide Screen, The Hitting Spot, The Golf clubs and a Remote Control.

Big Wide Screen : Functions as a fake Golf Course. Its amazing that they even took the trouble of inputing the sound of insects on the background just to give customers the feeling as if they are actually on a real Golf course. As you can see on the upper left side, there’s a small table. It is actually a table to show your scores and points during the game. On the upper right, the distance of how far you’ve hit is shown. And the lower right is where you can control and adjust just about anything, to adjust the point of view and many other things (Confession no.1 : I haven’t really had the chance to explore each icon so i don’t really know much about it.)

The Hitting Spot : The green carpet in the picture..yup, that’s the hitting spot…I was told that the carpet has a sensor that enables it to sense the presence of the golf ball once you place it on. Isn’t it cool?

The Golf clubs : The golf clubs are all provided and prepared so you don’t have to trouble yourself to bring your own golf set. They even prepared it for both male and female use. The golf clubs catered for females are lighter and cuter..as you can see in the picture..the golf club I’m holding is pink..yup owh and like i said its very light.

The Remote Control : It looks something like this joystick here…

joystickbut with a wider base and more buttons on it. There were so many buttons on it i had no idea what it was for hihi :p The thing that looks like the toggle pin in the middle is used to change your point of view during the game. It enables you to find the best hitting point.

Well, that pretty much covers everything…so what do you think nice eh?

IMG_9302My friend Firdaus a.k.a Firedaus..he’s actually pretty good although we were both beginners..beginner’s luck?

Truth is I don’t like Golf..hihi yup, I don’t…well, let’s just say i’m not a golf person..but it was fun playing the fake one..hehe:p I really couldn’t hit though..It was pretty frustrating at first..but BANG suddenly, I HIT IT!! And what a marvelous feeling it was..Just like my first experience with Bowling…the first throw might end up in the hole and the more you try its still the same..it gets annoying..but then normally what happen is after a few failed assault..you start to give up but as you’re thinking of giving up..BANG you got a strike!! and you’ll forget about giving up and would just like to try throwing the ball again to see if you can get another Strike..its the same feeling i get playing this GolF Simulation thing…I ended up enjoying it very much until we got a phone call from the front desk, reminding us that we only have 5 more minutes till the time ends…We didn’t have enough time..I had to catch my last train and so does my friend. Plus, we both know nothing about golf..so we both thought that one hour is more than enough…If only we had more time…Dang! Owh well..there’s always next time!!

Owh one more thing…I don’t know about my friend, Firdaus but I actually felt a bit of a pain on the waist the next morning…was probably because the way i hit was wrong so i hurt my back but yea…just a warning to you people who’s planning to try..but then again, it might only be ME in the end..hihi :p

The place we went to was called Gran Cyber Cafe BAGUS..pretty Cool huh? “BAGUS” is actually a Malay/Indonesian word which means “Good”…I was pretty surprised at first..thought the place was own by a Malaysian guy or something..but nah, it didn’t seem so..Well anyways..BAGUS branches are everywhere..the one we went to was in Shinjuku..about 10 minutes walk from the Shinjuku Station East Exit..

The thing is its pretty expensive..it cost around 3,500per hour for renting the room, but the number of players are unlimited..so I suggest you go with your friends..It would be more fun…U can rent by hours or if its already near 12am, i suggest you take the Free Time Course, 7000yen for about 5 hours..from 12am to 5am in the morning…most of these courses are accompanied with drink bars(All-you-can-drink course during that 5 hours of the time given for quite a reasonable price so you don’t have to worry about ordering expensive drinks one after another… pretty sleek huh?! hihi :p
